Directed By Amy Heckerling - 1982
1. Part wimp and part pussy.

2. She smiled, looked him directly in the eye and laughed at the stupid joke he told.

3. He said he had to return his sister's car by 11:00.

4. The new schedule was very confusing.

5. Can a car be fixed with a set of television repair tools? It would depend on the extent of the damage, wouldn't it? You saw what Jefferson's car looked like after it was wrecked, But that was all Spicoli had.

6. Never let on how much you like a girl. Always call
the shots. Act like wherever you are, that's the place to be. When ordering food, find out what she wants, then order for the both of you and whenever possible, put
on side one of Led Zeppelin IV when making out.

7. It was tucked into the top of Spicoli's jeans.

8. C

9. Knock before entering and lock the door!

10. The film didn't answer that question, so we'll have to take an educated guess here and say yes, she did. How could she not?
2. We didn't notice the resemblance, but one of Stacy's (Jennifer Jason Leigh) friends thought that Ron (D.W. Brown) looked like Richard Gere. What did she do at Linda's (Phoebe Cates) urging to win him over when she introduced herself?
3. Mark seemed genuinely
pleased with how things went
with Stacy the night of their date.
He did forget his wallet and the stereo was stolen from his sister's car, but none of that really mattered - at least not to Stacy who wanted to take things even further. That's when Mark got cold feet and decided to call it a night. What excuse did he use?

4. Speaking of excuses. Mr. Hand (Ray Walston) didn't buy the one that Spicoli (Sean Penn) used for showing up late on the first day of class, but you know what? It sounded to us like as good a reason as any. Do you remember what he said? We do.

5. Okay, so maybe Spicoli wasn't smart enough to pull the wool over Mr. Hand's eyes, but Jefferson (Forest Whitaker) believed him. We're referring, of course, to the story he made up about his car being vandalized by a rival high school. You know what he would have done if that didn't work?
Plan B, kids. What did that involve?

A
6. Everyone has a plan until they've been hit… or rejected. Mike's (Robert Romanus) usually worked like a charm. Remind us of some of its finer points.

7. Care for a bagel? Our answer would be, "Thanks, but no thanks" if it's the one we're thinking of. It's yours, if you want it. The question is, do you know where it's been?

8. When Arnold (Scott Thomson) turned his head to admire the backside of the pretty girl he passed in the hallway, he probably didn't even notice why she was bent over. We're guessing you didn't either, so we'll cut you some slack here and make this one a multiple-choice question.
  A. She was fixing one of
  her stockings.
  B. She was picking up the
  books she dropped.
  C. She was tying her laces.
  D. She wasn't doing anything.
  She bent over on purpose
to get a reaction when she
  spotted Arnold in the hallway.

9. Have you ever walked in on someone while they were pleasuring themselves? If you're one of the unfortunate few who have, try looking at it this way - at least you weren't the person who got caught. Two lessons should have been learned when that happened in this film. If you can remember either one, you should be okay.

10. The reward that Spicoli received for saving Brooke
Shields' life must have been enormous - at least seven figures
if he used the money to hire Van Halen for his birthday party. We know she was invited. The question is, did she show up?

Brian Backer's character (Mark Ratner) could be summed up in one word - "Wuss." We've all heard the term, but how many of you really know where
it comes from? We wouldn't ask if it weren't defined in the film.
