Directed by Tom McLoughlin, 1986
1. Hawes (Ron Palillo) knew exactly where he was going in the film's opening sequence, but wouldn't it have made more sense if he were kept in the dark? If the story played out under that scenario, the cemetery gates would have been one indication of what Tommy (Thom Matthews) was up to, but not the first. Hawes noticed something prior to that, something that may have prompted the words, "Stop the car. This is where I get out!"
2. What cemetery was Jason (C.G. Graham) buried in?
3. Any knucklehead could answer the question as to why Tommy wanted to exhume Jason's corpse so try this: Seeing Jason's body wouldn't have convinced us, but maybe that was all Tommy wanted - to make sure it was rotting in the ground. Did that change? In other words, did he set out to destroy the body?
4. True or False: Tommy was standing over Jason's grave when he remarked, "(he) belongs in Hell, and I'm gonna see he gets there!"
5. Hawes placed two items on the ground before he started digging. We'll cut you some slack on this one and only ask for one. That shouldn't be too difficult.
6. If we asked you how Jason was resurrected, you'd mention the fence post that became a lightning rod, wouldn't you? So the question here is this; was Tommy looking elsewhere when that happened?
7. The rainstorm that passed through the area that night helped Jason in two ways. It extinguished the match that Tommy lit. It also cleansed his body of the worms and the maggots that were crawling all over his flesh. Which one happened first?
8. Some people never get over a broken heart. Hawes had his pushed through his back. What line of dialogue foreshadowed his death?
9. You might need a head of lettuce to answer this next question. Why's that, you ask? Well, if you squeeze it between your hands it might jog your memory. There was a sound that resembled a broken neck prior to Hawes' death. Where did it come from?
10. One could hardly blame the Sheriff (David Kagen) for locking Tommy up. In fact, one could even say he showed remarkable restraint. What incident are we referring to?
11. There's always two sides to every story. Here's Tommy's: He could have remarked, "That's a little extreme considering the offense, don't you think?" when the Sheriff threatened to repaint the walls of his office with his brains. Tell us why.
12. What was Darren (Tony Goldwyn) referring to when he joked, "I say we stop the car, get out and start screaming for help"?
13. Lizbeth (Nancy McLoughlin) wanted to drive in reverse to get away from Jason instead of trying to scare him. But she changed her mind when this happened.
14. Let's see how much you remember about Darren's demise. One of the following statements is incorrect. Is it A, B or C?
A. He was speared through the chest
and then flung forward
B. The amount of blood that splattered
on the windshield of Lizbeth's car
wasn't consistent with that type of injury.
C. His last words were addressed to Jason.
15. It was Lizbeth who remarked, "I've seen enough horror movies to know any weirdo wearing a mask is never friendly." That's why it seemed kind of odd when she offered Jason some cash. She should have known that no amount of money would have saved her life. She also offered him one of her credit cards. Do you remember which one?
16. Martin (Bob Larkin) assumed that the body in Jason's grave belonged to Jason himself, but anyone whose ever seen a Friday the 13th movie would have known that it was someone else. Tell us why.
17. We don't know how many people were fooled, but again, anyone whose ever seen a Friday the 13th movie would have known that Stan (Matthew Faison) wasn't Jason when the camera focused on the machete he was carrying. Put yourself in the director's chair and tell us what could have been done differently to make the scene more convincing.
18. How did the residents of Crystal Lake try to forget the camp's legacy?
19. Here's an idea: Let's say Universal Studios added a Friday the 13th attraction to its theme park. A tour guide could lead a group through a heavily wooded area that included a lake, cabins, different murder sites and, of course, Jason himself! You wouldn't know where or when he'd appear, even if you took the tour for the umpteenth time because the actor would be allowed to improvise. What would you recognize if the tour stopped at the spot where Burt (Wallace Merck) was killed?"
20. Jason stopped for a moment after he killed Burt. Do you remember why?
21. What would a Friday the 13th movie be without its share of dim-witted characters? If a list were compiled of the most brainless, Roy (Whitney Rydbeck) would certainly rank among the top three. High praise, indeed, considering those who have come before him. He did turn and run, but that was after he tried to stop Jason in a way that absolutely boggles the mind. Maybe he did notice something that made him think he could stop a machete-wielding psychopath with a paintball gun, but you'd need an Einstein-like IQ to figure that one out. You can't say he didn't know what Jason was capable of. He saw something that would have haunted him for a lifetime - had he lived that long. What are we referring to?
