1. Ok guys, you know you're guilty of this - how many times have you complimented a pretty girl on something she had nothing to do with, like her name? The reason why we ask is because Rick Gassko (Tom Hanks) did the same thing (sort of) in the film's opening sequence. What are we referring to?
2. A hidden camera on the school bus that Rick drove would have exposed at least two violations. Name either one.
3. Rick told the kids that he was taking them on a journey to "Hell and beyond" when they left "Nun Central." He didn't go quite that far (obviously), but it did seem like he took the bus everywhere else. Was that because it was his only means of transportation?
4. What did Rick say in his defense when he was reprimanded for his tardiness?
5. If Rick exclaimed, "Hands off the Virgin Mary!" he would have been referring to the statue that covered his topless hula dancer. What did he do with that statue when he removed it from the dashboard?
A. He dropped it behind his boombox.
B. He shoved it under his seat.
C. He stuck it in the visor.
D. He tossed it behind his back.
6. When O'Neill (Adrian Zmed) remarked, "Look at those babies, (they're) adorable!" Mrs. Klupner (Angela Aames) had to have known that he was talking about her breasts. Tell us why.
7. Here's a question you can have some fun with. What we want you to do is to recreate the last photo that was taken of Mrs. Klupner. Tell us how you'd position yourself and your friends.
8. Three different people got hit when O'Neill threw some fries at his friends. We'll name two - Rick and Rudy (Barry Diamond). Was the third person seated directly behind them?
9. Picture this scenario: You're dining out with some friends in the same restaurant. Everyone else is ready to order but you can't seem to make up your mind. "The double crunch shrimp looks good, but I'm also in the mood for some veal Parmesan." If you asked the waiter which of the two he'd recommend, and his name was Ryko (Michael Dudikoff), he wouldn't suggest the latter. The question is why.
10. What did Ryko remove from his own diet because it clogged him up with phlegm and snot?
11. Someone remarked, "I'd rather be dead, but if this is what you want, good luck, man," when Rick announced his engagement. Was it Rudy or Gary (Gary Grossman)?
12. Rick promised his friends that nothing would change after he got married. He'd still go bowling with them on Tuesdays and play cards every Friday night. What other tradition did he promise to continue?
13. Rudy didn't accompany Rick when he went to the hospital for the blood test he needed, but if he had half a brain in his head he would have. If you're asking us why, here's a clue - some people spit, others swallow. He did both.
14. The doctor is out… of his mind! You'd run for the nearest exit if your physician exclaimed, "I'll rip out your guts and break you in half!" wouldn't you? That was Stan's (William Tepper) second mistake. What did Rick see in the examination room that made us shake our head in disbelief and remark, "That man calls himself a doctor?"
15. When Stan sighed, "I miss that so much," he was referring to his life as a bachelor. He missed the wild parties. He also mentioned how the whole commitment thing put a caboodle on the different women that he used to take home every night. As for his wife (Wendie Jo Spencer), she should have been ok with one of the things he stopped doing on her behalf, as long as he participated in the activity alone. What are we referring to?
16. Rick pushed Tina away when she tried to congratulate him. Do you remember why?
17. Here's a question that's sure to attract some attention. Complete the following quote: You could almost hear a pin drop in the clothing boutique that Debbie (Tawny Kitaen) worked in after Phoebe (Martina Finch) remarked, "(it) seems like only yesterday…"
18. The boutique's new dressing room doors were certainly unique. They only covered the top half or the bottom half of a person's body. That probably increased the store's traffic ten-fold, but we're sure most just went in to browse. If you were one of those customers, would you be able to tell which rooms were intended for whom?
19. Speaking of unique. If you tasted Rick's homemade potato salad you'd probably pass on a second helping. What did the recipe call for?
20. Fill in the blank: "Unmotivated, inconsiderate, irresponsible, no self-esteem, a slob…" could a person with those faults really change? Mr. Thompson (George Grizzard) didn't think so. Rick had no desire to become the person that his future father-in-law wanted him to be, but he was convinced that he could change his ways by the time __________ if he really applied himself.
21. It was obvious that Ilene (Deborah Harmon) was infatuated with Debbie's ex-boyfriend (Robert Prescott)… dare we say almost as much as Mr. Thompson was, just by the way she looked at him. It was also indicated by her body language. What did she do when he complimented her on her appearance?
22. How did Rick introduce himself to Cole?
23. Cole offered Rick $10,000 and a few consolation prizes to dump Debbie. The deal included each of the following items… and a couple of others. Tell us what's missing from the list.
Cole's new Porsche
A brand new set of Michelin tires
A cuisanart
A G.E. toaster oven
24. Actions often speak louder than words… Cole's did. What did he do when Mr. Thompson suggested a different approach - something a little more "persuasive" - if reasoning with Rick didn't work?
25. Here's a twist on the old pick a card, guess the card trick. The deck we're playing with contains 20 cards. Each one of those cards includes some information about the film we're quizzing you on. Most are character profiles. Your task is to guess which card we've chosen based on three clues. If you need more than one, the point value will drop to two and then one if you need all three. Try not to look at the last two clues if you're playing the game alone.
Clue #1 Unrelenting
Clue #2 A constant challenge to the senses
Clue #3 A game played on horseback by two
teams of four players each.
26. True or False: Rick was referring to his deceased mother when he joked, "If I go back on my word, I'll kill her"?
